Delirium (A Rondel)

by Catherine Wilson (Age: 37)
copyright 10-16-2003

Age Rating: 10 +

Grim reaper haunts me as I sleep.
This madness eats inside my head.
For its my soul he wants to keep.
I know he lurks under my bed.

From the shadows the demons creep.
The voices call. Fill me with dread.
Grim reaper haunts me as I sleep.
This madness eats inside my head.

The bodies pile into a heap.
Oh God! Evil..chaos..widespread!
Ill kill you all! Your blood Ill shed!
Inside my brain the maggots seep.
Grim reaper haunts me as I sleep.
This madness eats inside my head.

I think ther lies a deeper meaning in this poem than just some Halloween Tale. Powerful write Catherine. Interesting form also.
