Reno Girl
by Melissa Bean (Age: 21)
copyright 11-10-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

She came down from Reno.
Looking for a new sob story.
All she got was backed up history.
Something she buried inside.

Now looking into his eyes.
As if she never went away.
The memories flooded clear as day.
She swore she would never go back.

No more running.
she wanted it back.
Wanted to get her life back on track.
She couldn't escape his love.

She knew love is stronger.
Now she wants that devotion.
That extra emotion.
She knew she was ready now.

Up in Reno, she said.
She was scared to walk the streets.
She couldn't put her head before her feet.
Always running away from life.

But now she's in love again.
No more running, no more hiding.
In him, she's confiding
he held out so many years for her.

what she has learned so far.
Is to not fear the feeling.
love goes higher than the ceiling.
and this time she won't walk away.

This is great Melissa. I really liked the imagery and the words are lyrical enough to be a song. Great stuff!

Warm Regards,
Lyle
