My Greatest Enemy
by Jessalyn Hamby (Age: 22)
copyright 11-13-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I sink, sink deep inside my mind
Searching, searching for answers
The questions I don't know

Painful memories rise before me with hungry eye's
Old longing snapping with strong jaws
This time I won't curl up in a ball and cry

I won't be broken again
Walking past my carniberous memories
They still nip and scratch at me

I won't give in
Overwhelming feelings come that I had long forgotten
Still going on head strong

I make it past all my monsters
I make it past all my flaws
The hardest is yet to come

My answers with my questions
All in one
I come face to face with my true enemy.....me
