Picture Credits:
Once just a young lad, spurned by the moment,
Obsessed with desire, no less than perfection.
Enthralled by the abounds of God's nature,
The multitude of gifts freely carved out;
A tepid, calm lake, seeing HIS reflection not mine.
The experience branding a value in my soul,
Maybe simply the savoring of Father Time.
Now exposed to that of which I not know,
Yielding yet taking small steps, as I go.
No past nor tomorrow, only living in today,
Scarred at times from defeat, now return I do pray.
Yes fire can purify gold,
Hence delivering a saint.
Scar tissue much stronger,
Yet not for the faint.
My scar tissue my soul,
Lingering as an ephemeral part.
Now remains the reflection,
Of a purified heart.
