A Moment of Love
by Praveen Agnihotri (Age: 33)
copyright 01-15-2004

Age Rating: 1 to 127

TO All: I think this my poem is not very clear because it has been written for one person only and she will get it. Still it has the potential to be developed as a universal poem-i mean which is clear for any person.
Please help in this endevour. Please comment what you felt when you read it.Thanks

I always tried,
To forget those eye.
But in vein,
oh! my pretty dear.

How cute were they,
I can never say.
Filled with love
Is, what I say.

I dreamt so high,
Projected on you. Why?

Was bound to shatter,
Which was given on a platter

Shattered……, dejected…but OK
I tried to mend all my way

Mended, erected….
But that spine-less creature
Had to, give its way

Oh! Gullible fool
Spine is needed to stand full

That spine no one person can make
It’s where contribution from both is made

Still………… no regrets……….
A moment of love-though false
Is worth a thousand such falls

To have loved and loss is better than to never love at all. This is a good idea. The flow is slow but the meaning that I found is real. Thanks, Anthony

For some, a moment of love is worth a thousand falls, but for others, once is more than enough.
Beautiful poem, Praveen.

I think I get it but it needs work to make it clearer.
