Faery Folk - X - Fauns & Satyrs
by Gregory Christiano (Age: 61)
copyright 11-29-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Who are these goat-legged men,
With curled horns and cloven hooves?
I know who they are -
They're atttendants to Bacchus!
Celebrate in wild bounty!
With drunkeness and lechery.
They are lewd and dance all day
With panpipes chase the nymphs!
Bawdy, bold and brash,
With infectious lust for life!
Hold Woodsies in open countryside,
A Greek tragedy to be played.
They tease and play pranks,
Vandals and mindless fools.
They live in wild places -
So avoid them is the rule!
Some of the characters I learned about in THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, other's in some other books now made in movie. I like your descriptions of all these characters, and how you bring them to life with verbal visions.
They just keep getting better, I love reading your work. Now after you explain all these charachters in your serial of poems how about a serial with all these charachters in it. This would be amazing. The kids would love it and me too, because I am such a big kid still. I know your not really a fiction writer, but give it a shot. I think it could become a best seller. Perhaps you could use the charchters to bring changes to peoples livees who were in emotional trouble. We need books like this for the age groups 11- 16 no good intresting books that teach morals are out there. I know, I have four kids and was always looking for these kind of books, and few really good ones are available. You have many perfect charachters already, why not use them.
