What If
by Doug Carlson (Age: 22)
copyright 12-09-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

  What If

What if I hadn't been born
Would the world be a better place
What if I suddenly died
Would that make you cry
What if I never held you in my arms
Would I never understand your charms
What if I could be your man
Would you go along with my plan
What if I never learned to drive
Would you ever have a good strive
What if I never went hunting
Would I be the only one bunting
What if I could make you love me
Would we make such sweet honey
What if I was there for you every step of the way
Would you and I still get to play

12-09-2003 Moses Hochstetler

We all face a lot of "what if's" in our lives, and one has to wonder what would be different today had we taken a different turn, walked a different path, gotten to know and love different people. Life is a lot like a game of chess, where every move we make either strengthens or weakens our position. The blunders we make always come back to haunt us.

Keep writing,
Moses

good poem really makes a person think what if this was different and how it would change things...
