Don't You Remember Me?
by Dian Bagent (Age: 21)

Age Rating: 16 to 127

My love, don’t you remember me?
I was the one who you taught to be free.
I was the one you whispered sweet things to,
About love, and honey, and sweet morning dew.

My love, you still do not remember?
The one who you awoke from a deadly slumber?
The one who you taught how to have fun?
It is I, the one who used to be so frozen.

Do you remember me yet, my love?
I am the one who thought you from above.
I am the one who loved you more than life.
The one who you helped cope with strife.

My love, you still cannot see?
Well, I’m no longer what I used to be.
I am now bitter, and angry, and cruel.
What I am now is just plain evil.

What, my love? What happened to me?
That should be plain for you to see.
It was you who drove me to insanity.
You who destroyed my inner beauty.

My love you still do not know?
That you destroyed by very soul?
That your betrayal hurt me more
Than anything I have yet to endure?

My love, you can’t see me, can you?
My suicide should have been enough of a clue.
In a pool of crimson I feel so empty.
My love, please, don’t you remember me?

I really like this poem even though some of the rhymes were forced a little! The subject here is very good and you did a good job with your story here! Anthony

How many times in our life do we let the rejection of others take so much power we harm ourselves to spite them? We have all been guilty of doing that at some point. This represents that concept well.
