Yeah, been there.

C.S. Lewis suggested we move Christmas to some other day so that people could have "X-mas" on Dec. 25, and then those who actually wish to celebrate Christmas could do so in peace and quiet.

That was about sixty years ago, but I still think the idea worth considering.
