Step quietly along the abysmal plains
The Night Mare's reigns are pulling in.
Can you hear their wagons pains,
As the beasts pull at the helm?
Move swiftly for nobody cares,
If the footing slips, just turn away.
Don't bother with the foolish prayers,
No god hears them now-a-days.
If the moon sets before the haven,
Comes into sight upon east,
Just relinquish your soul up to the raven,
For by then all left are just a feast.
Should a demon rise to block your path,
Don't fight the urge that draws you down.
For when it turns into the aftermath,
Your tattered soul will not be found.
And should a speck of light just happen show,
Don't trust the hope that draws you near.
For by now all do know,
That all too soon it dissappears.
Should quandaries arise on where you are,
Just ignore the cries that drown it out.
For you've gotten in this place so far,
That you can never turnabout.
For if you left, the world would die.
The barren landscapes crumble down.
Can't you see that you're inside,
A place in me you've reached somehow?
And all I beg is that you stay,
Or leave a part of you behind,
You remind me of this thing called "day",
A place that lives outside my mind.
You breathe the hope back into me,
Provide comfort in this pain and stress,
You are the twin of my misery,
You are the darkness I opress.
Should you leave, all would die,
My pain, my ruler, my pet, my slave.
My captive, I hold you by my side,
And you can never turn away.
No matter how the world will shift,
Or how dark the darkness always falls,
You will always be my gift.
Never will your freedom call.
So step carefully along the abysmall plain,
And turn your heard away from the sound,
Of the Night Mare's pulling at their reigns,
Or the feeling of the sinking groun.
Forsake your prayers and come with me,
Inside this place I know so well.
My comfort in my misery.
Welcome to this place called hell.
