Ressurected love (aka Black mini skirts?)

Okay, its written, and its stupid, so DON"T READ IT! Yah...its what really happened today...but to make it short I ran into my old boyfriend who dumped me because I didn't fit his image and he said I was too punkish looking for him and he was too jockish but when he saw me today he didn't recognize me and came to hit on me. When he realized who I was he begged for forgiveness and to get hooked back up but I told him no. So now that you know the plot just go down and leave me a comment about black mini skirts and polka dotted tube tops.

It didn't seem so long ago
That you were the one I know
Who was always there for me
The only who had set me free

But your image seemed to bother you
And that because of me it wasn't true
You were disgraced our groups had clashed
Once more at that fateful dance

Because I dressed different you left me
And now it's been years maybe two or three
And now I bumbed into you again
But I had changed since then

My hair different my contacts gone
You didn't recognize me for so long
Even when you came to talk to me
And spoke of how it used to be

You brought our past up and didn't know
That it was me you tried to show
As the one you truly loved back then
Until I just shook my head and replied again.

"Look I don't need anyone now
I don't know what happened or how
But I got over you and what you did
I think its time you realized what you said"

Blankely you looked at me
Then you realized what you couldn't see
That behind who I was I was still
The person you loved and always will

And you dropped down before me
And said you were sorry
But I shook my head instead
And said "Sorry, my love for you is dead."

"I have found someone in my life
Someone who saved me so much strife
And who accepts me for who I am
So Goodbye old love,
Mayhap our paths will meet again."

So long my sweet love, just say good bye,
And don't you cry that tear in your eye-
Because you're the one that walked away,
You're the one who regrets it today!

I feel a poem coming, and you know, I couldn't agree with the spirit this poem was written in any more!

Wonderful poem of "kiss off and die." Isn't it a great feeling to tell someone to go away - someone who used to matter so much and now, you realize, you are strong in who you are and will not bend to his level. (still shaking my head laughing at comments made at the end though, around sugar...hmmm)
