Passion's Sad Repose
by Joan Jotz (Age: 54)
copyright 12-13-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Cruel love consumes the heart
With melancholy fire;
Ravaged by capricious fate,
Forsaken by desire.
Adoration clings in dreams
'Mid throes of scarlet weepings;
Complacent night
Steals desperate longings
From the breast's dear keeping.
Love, suffering and turbulent,
Spills anguish o'er the soul;
Languished sighs
Mourn empty hours...
Pity Passion's sad repose

Vivid and with strong emotions as usual. It is both elegant and eloquent. A rare combination, but you have mastered it well!
