SONNET iii
by Joan Jotz (Age: 55)
copyright 12-14-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

When patience is no longer tested,
And life becomes a gentler art,
Then being, in it's joyful resting,
Fills each moment, warms the heart.
When times of peaceful contemplation
Shimmer like shooting stars a flight,
To brighten every dark sensation,
And celebrate surreal delights.
A minute held with rich endearment
Is precious as the rarest jewel;
Perfected in quiet adornment,
Reflected in each burnished mood.
When innocence and comfort nourish life,
So will simplicity colour purest light.
