Stained-glass Truths
by Joan Jotz (Age: 55)
copyright 12-22-2003

Age Rating: 4 to 127

Tides of perpetual pleasure
Saturate my subconscious,
Waves of delight spill through my soul;
Emotions waver, like shifting sands,
Stroked by seas unknown.

Spiritual crests
Of transient tenderness
Billow like clouds, rise like spires,
Tempting mortal imaginations
With Heaven's precious fires.

Elusive dreams float behind eyes
Sprinkled with nightfall's hues;
Enticing the heart, Embracing desires,
Capturing Stained-Glass Truths.

I hear the Ocean in this piece, easily. Quietly shimmering in the mist of a December breeze. Riding high "effortlessly skipping" across glass seas. Perhaps sailing as in, a pirate's dream. Nice!
