Mermaid Waltzes

by Joan Jotz (Age: 59)
copyright 12-13-2003

Age Rating: 4 +

I gaze out at the endless sea
Mesmerized by turbulent serenity.
Effervescent light in foamy dress,
Emerald greens fringe every crest.

Swells, full with Neptune's salty breath;
Watery fingers stroke sandy depths.
Frothy spirals of airy height
Pound the sands with diminished might.

Luminous peaks 'neath a lunar shroud
Rise to display their pearly crowns.
Mermaid waltzes reclaim the shore;
Tidal whispers...the sea endures.

Simply mesmerizing, almost liken to a sea shanty.
Very nice.

ooooooooooooooooooh! pretty!!.. perhaps if it wasn't midnight I would be able to come up with a better comment, but seeing as it is in fact that mind-numbing time of night you get to make do with my pre-school response!
