You Don't Have To, But I Want To

You Don't Have To, But I Want To

#This was orignaly written on Stacy's B-Day because the gift I was going to give her wasn't finished because our sewing machine broke.#

You don't have to accept this,
And that I understand.
You don't have to wait for me.
You don't have to hold my hand.

You don't have to be one of my best friends,
That's if you don't want to.
I just want to celebrate
By meeting with you.

You don't have to be my guide.
You don't have to see me through.
You don't have to stand by me,
Although I would for you.

You don't have to be alone.
You don't have to be afraid.
Just think of all the good times
And the friends you've made.

I will always accept all
That you'll never understand.
I will always wait for you.
And I'll always hold your hand.

Forever I will be your friend,
That's because I need you.
I just want to celebrate,
My first times with you.

I'll forever be your guide.
I'll always see you through.
I will always stand by you.
Even if you don't want to.

Though when I see you now,
I barely find a smile.
I'd like to make you happy.
I'd go that extra mile.

I will always be by you,
Close enough to see your face.
And I'll never leave your side
In any time or any place.

Will you ever call my name?
Will you ever cry for me?
Do you ever even pray for me?
Do I look that lonely?

If I ever gave you hope,
Would you ever get the fact:
That if one day you came apart,
I'd be there to put you back?

I will always be afraid
Everytime you fall.
I will drop down to my knees
and lift 'til you stand tall.

You came from gardens above,
Oh my dear lilac.
I picked you from heaven's arms,
And They'll never get you back!

You are my whole world.
You're my shining light.
You're my little hero.
You saved my day and night.

Am I your morning angel?
Am I your sweet seraph?
Am I your evening candle
Or are we all that's left?

#Happy Birthday...... everyone.#

It's a very good song for a friend.

Ah, can I be your friend, too? This is a wonderful poem to your friend. See I told you there was always someone that cares...your friends! Thanks, Anthony
