Dawn of the New Millennium
by Moses Hochstetler (Age: 59)
copyright 01-11-2004

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Phoenix rising from the fire
To reach beyond Aquarius:
Windless wings encompassing
Polaris, talons clutching
Fallen stars of yesterday.
Suns and moons of Pleiades,
Earth, all of Earth's dominions,
Mountains, valleys, magistrates -
Vanquished by her hallowed dreams.
Evenings, mornings past, and I
Shall be gathered in her bosom
With clouds Sagittarius.
There the Phoenix finds her home;
Dawns the peaceful golden age.

Sing, Atlantis of the sea,
A song of virtuosity;
Wake her with her golden bells
Resounding - clash the cymbals -
Babylon is still asleep;
All her daughters bound in chains.
Come and cross the great Euphrates,
Skip to Jordan, set us free;
Waltz across to Palestine
Once the day star dawns. Arise
From the burning sands, my friends,
Meet me in Jerusalem:
There the ages meet again;
Dawns the new millennium.

Wonderful imagery and metaphors, Moses and a tragically beautiful vision.

Warm Regards,
Lyle
