I have all good intentions to resolve,
Yet I find the power of will, limited and weak.
Shall I struggle and strive, yet once again,
To make something happen?
Or yet give in, simply to defeat..

Could I imagine the reality of faith and possibility,
Working as one, in an ever-increasing measure of resolve.
Could each thought, every moment, given my attention,
enthusiasm and energy of effort,
This supernatural unknown force called action, and then;

My detriment finally absolved.

Mine is never to have such a New Years Eve again. I was flooded. Nice poem liked the first verse best.
