Prose-n-poetry is a site devoted to Prose and Poetry. in the past we allowed email addresses to be exchanged through the site, excepting when minors were involved. That is ended.
The truth is that a few adults have abused email addresses far more that most children would ever dream of doing. So we have extended the prohabition of passing emails addys to all members.
Some adults have felt insulted and stated that they don't care to be treated as children. Unfortunately, the massive abuses by a few ruin it for all.
So what abuses? We recently had to throw out a member. She had email addresses from when we allowed this. She is now using those addresses to email everyone she can to present "her case." "Her case" represents, quite simply, harassment of our members with the intent of trying to pry them away from PnP.
That hurts the site and our members. A few will read her emails and question, perhaps abandon the children here who have adopted them and move away from PnP. It also hurts the site financially because if they leave, their dues no longer contribute to the support of the site, the children here or the adults.
That is the motivation behind the recent emails sent by this disgruntled ex-member. The perpetrator attempted to destroy the site, Discovered and failing in that attempt, she now seeks to harm the site in any way she can.
So, ALL email will go through PnP mail now. Any attempts by any member to defeat this system will most certainly not be welcomed. If we learn that any member is utilizing outside email addresses to attempt to harm PnP or any of it's members, INCLUDING BOB who is also a member, they will be read our Terms of Service and immediately banned.
The web has become a very hostile environment due to a few miscreants. To protect PnP itself and it's members, this is a necessary action on our part.
