Does that job look too great,
Or seem too difficult to do?
Is that task too monumental
For the likes of little you?
Is it simply too demanding,
Quite beyond all understanding,
And your hopes are all askew?
Think of Little David
Who, though of stature not so great,
Did what you would think impossible
And refused to hesitate.
With a little faith and prayer,
He did what others wouldn't dare,
And the giant met his fate.
So when the task stands tall
And seems too difficult for you,
And Goliath, laughing, taunting,
Shakes the faith of more than few;
With your sling beside you ready,
And a prayer, heartfelt and steady,
Slay that giant; say "can do!"
