Pitying Doom
by Emily Garwood (Age: 21)
copyright 02-19-2004

Age Rating: 13 to 127

I can sit in the darkness,
Crying, wondering if a switch exists.
My screams hit the wall, just like me,
Echoing the doom,
Nothing left to cry.

The darkest corner,
So warm and comforting,
Just like his arms,
Why am I letting this happen?

There's not a hope,
Specially for this type of case,
Dumb dyslexic girl,
Holding your darkened life,
In a glass of your blood.

I'm a shame,
I have no hope,
I hold the guilt and the blame,
For every mistake.

I'm sorry,
Let me apologize again,
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me,
Everything is my fault.

I'm so sorry...

Your only dumb if you think your dumb. You seem very insightful to me. I think sometimes the whole world seems to be falling in on us and this is good because alot of poetry has been written about this very thing! If you think about it, there are alot of people that are just like you and feel like they are not worthy of succeding. You will have your day in the sun soon I think. When you finally are able to get out on your own, these things that are bad will no longer upset you. Give it time. Thanks, Anthony

I think everyone has times like these in their life, where they feel everything is in their fault. Not just during youth but also in adulthood too. I like this poem.
