My timeless vintage work of art,
The nectar of the rose;
The charm of wond'rous perfect prose,
The flame within my heart.
I'll serve to you the golden flask
Of amber honey-wine,
In crystal goblets silver-lined,
If that is what you ask.
I'll gather orchids for your hair,
I'll whisper am'rous words,
More sweet than all the singing birds
Do grace the garden air.
I'll pluck the moon-beams from the night
As white as alpine milk,
To spin our dreams of seamless silk
Before the morning light.
We'll waltz across the emerald green,
We'll float across the tide;
I'll be your groom, you'll be my bride -
My timeless Gypsy Queen.
