Remember the beat of the rhythm in the 50's?
sad songs that would girls cry,
not many druggies,
or whores,
so many happy none-mean kids.

Remember the beat of the rhythm in the 60's?
Peace,
love,
and happiness filled the air with joy.
Hippies expressing there individuality.

Remember the beat of the rhythm in the 70's?
Disco balls,
dancing,
moving with groove.
Stylish hair,
and tons of John Travolta Wannabe's!

Remember the beat of the rhythm in the 80's?
Sexy bitches,
crazy cloths and crazy hair,
wild music,
heavy metal,
gangsta rama,
outrageous looks,
and tons and tons and tons and tons and loads of shit!

Remember the beat of the rhythm in the 90's?
Computers,
Internet
higher technolagy,
Saying goodbye to the 80's,
welcome 90's!

Now the beat goes on,
on and on.
Everyone and everything goes their own style flow,
hearts connected and broken apart.
Everybody has got to get it on,
and so the beat goes on,
yes the beat goes on and on and on and on, on, on!!!

This is a nice retrospective piece, Paul. Like the theme and the rhythm...a very clever description of how times and music change. A few corrections: "none-mean"--> 'non-mean'.
"there individualtites"--> 'their'. I don't understand the line "Sad songs that girls would cry"....maybe a typo. Good writing! Joan
