Neanderthal
by Moses Hochstetler (Age: 59)
copyright 01-05-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Out of the history books there came
A hunched and hairy stalwart frame;
A beastly man abominable -
The naked stooge Neanderthal.

Uncivilized, he used his hands
To eke a living from the land;
To gather fruits and nuts and seeds -
To build a house of stones and reeds.

He shaved his face and trimmed his hair,
And decked himself with clothes to wear.
He learned to hunt, to fish, and cook,
And stored his knowledge in a book.

He went in search of high degrees;
Of doctorates and PHD's.
And so the civil man was born:
Neanderthal - shaved and shorn.

Covered with a suit and tie,
He put his office in the sky;
To eke a living with the risk
Of clients on computer disk.

Out of the history books there came
A hunched and harried psycho frame;
Illogical, expendable -
The office stooge Neanderthal.

I really like this! I especially like the last stanza.

Dear Moses,

It is simply amazing.

What a perfect one liner-office stooge Neanderthal!

Praveen
