Like a condensed version of NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY. I love this and admire an author who can do what I can not... relay your message with brevity. I tend to ramble on so. :-)

Chris,
Your poetry is always great, and you have done a wonderful job on this as well. It's true...friends aren't forever, which is a sad truth to life. Those you think you'll love forever drift away in a matter of years, sometimes even months. Wonderful job, with a very true, but sad, message.
forever,
Debra

Chris, in a word, this is simply AMAZING! You have a wonderful knack for capturing so much emotion and just stark reality in so few words. This haiku really hits hard.... wonderful job!

I agree with Toni, but if you still stand by your opinion, Life does keep changing... and even the deepest wounds, eventually heal! :p That and I still can't believe how much power you can put into just 3 puny lines!! AWESOME Haiku!!!

I say a smile of a friend never fades. Friends are there always. No matter what.
