I'll Never Forget You...

It’s funny how people,
Can put on a strong smile,
Put on a life of fear,
For the longest while.

Never opened up,
To pull for a chance,
Just walk wherever,
They may land.

It’s funny how,
I’m a good friend,
Maybe you’re best,
Yet, I’m not told anything.

I was here,
Did you not see?
Though you kept running,
Possibly running from me?

It’s funny how tears,
Can dry all away,
But love is there to be seen,
But, Is it there to stay?

It’s funny how,
We can laugh away tears,
But we can never replace,
All the beautiful years.

It’s funny how,
I thought you were hear to stay,
Yet, you’re gone,
And so far away….

We’ll Never forget you..

I loved this! I know what you mean. I have a friend I've known since we were 3 but we've been breaking apart lately and it really stinks. I miss her. Well, I hope you have good luck with the friends :)

Wow, it's very creative. Sad and kinda happy. very dark too. It shows that you were having a very hard time when you wrote this. It's very true too. We can stop feeling pain but we don't ever forget. No matter what happens, we don't forget. We'll always remember. Memory can be the best and worst. Sometimes when someone you care about dies it seems the memory can be the worse. But after that pain fades away we treasure those memories we once wanted to throw away. This is a wonderful and touching poem.
