Tastes so Sweet
by Debra Rose (Age: 21)
copyright 02-26-2004

Age Rating: 13 to 127

Agony surrounds,
The kiss you placed on my lips
Where the poison has deteriorated
Everything I miss.
They say pain is an addiction,
You can not escape,
They speak in contradictions,
They just feel it their own way.

If this is death,
If you're killing me,
I don't want to remember life.
If this is your breath,
If I'll never fly free,
I don't want to reach the sky.

Everything I dreamed,
Is lost when we embrace,
And my only ambition
Is to freeze us in place.
I want to lose myself forever,
In the drug you have become,
Maybe you should pull the lever--
Wake me when the executions done.

If this is death,
If you're killing me,
I don't want to remember life.
If this is your breath,
If I'll never fly free,
I don't want to reach the sky.

They say that pain is an addiction,
That I'll never be free,
A constant affliction
You've placed upon me,
But it tastes so sweet
Blood and honey on my skin,
My soul is wound around you,
I never want to part again.

If this is death,
If you're killing me
I don't want to remember life.
If this is your breath
If I'll never fly free,
I don't want to reach the sky.

If this is death,
Don't wake me
Till the executions done,
If this is a cage,
If you've broken my wings,
I don't ever want to see the sun.

If I'll never fly free,
I don't want to reach the sky,
If this is death,
If you're killing me,
Wake me when the executions done.

Your writing is so dark. I sure am glad that you only say these things and don't acually do them! Good write! Thanks, Anthony
