Something Different
by Victoria Medley (Age: 20)
copyright 02-25-2004

Age Rating: 1 to 127

I used to be a member of AnimeGrapeVine (one of the best sites ever while it was up), and this is something I found from them. I wrote it like...a long time ago, so here it is. It's free verse.

I feel so strange,
as if something has changed.

I'm not floating toward the sky,
but I'm not on the ground.
G-d tell me why, tell me,
what is this feeling I've found?

I don't feel dead, yet I'm not alive,
Am I on my way to the afterlife
and my soul just hasn't arrived?
I'm somewhere inbetween...
somewhere unseen.

I don't feel mad,
or sad,
or glad,
I think I've discovered something new.
It's as if I just went through
them all at once.

I'm not cold,
or hot.
I'm not warm or chilly,
I'm just not.
Is there any inbetween,
that I just can't see?

G-d tell me why,
do I feel this extra special way?
G-d answer my prayer and tell me,
what's different about today?
