It Was You
by Doug Carlson (Age: 21)
copyright 04-05-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

  It Was You

It was you who brought love into my life
It was you who brought the sun in my morning

It was you who could never hurt with a knife
It was you who woke me with your horning

It was you who made me better
It was you who made me cry

It was you who made me a sweater
It was you who made me want to die

It was you who brought me back
It was you who worked me hard

It was you who could fill what I lack
It was you who I send this card

It was you who was there for me
You are the one for me and I am the one for you

It was you who made me the man I want to be
All I want to say is I love you.

Hi Doug,
The repetition in this piece works well. It reinforces the feelings expressed, and keeps the reader moving.
Not sure of what you mean in this line:
"It was you who woke me with your horning." ??
Also, this line:
"It was you who I send a card." This read awkward. Maybe try re-wording;
"It was you who always sent a card."

Good work!
