  Can't Run Away

What is the point to it all?
I see no reason.
We just watch the days pass by...
saying hello and goodbye to each season.

Does nobody stop to listen?
Do they not see the pain?
The horror of everyday life...
it's so far from tame...

People kill others,
for no reason at all.
Or maybe they have a little,
like an old scar..

Perhaps it was a scar
that was so deeply imbedded...
that it was hardly noticed...
just like a string that was barely left unthreaded.

Pretty soon that string
will unwravel and cause horrible matters...
and then what are you to do?
you're life is going to shatter.

That one little string...
it's sure to mess with you.
It's going to slap you in the face
and you're life will be under review.

You'll question everyone
and every little thing.
Then when you find out it's you...
you'll remember the string.

That one string hurt you?
No how...No way!
Now who can you blame?
Now you can't run away.
