I remember you, with tears unshed and burning,
Like sunlight's heat upon my face that I can never touch.
I remember you, thoughts lost weave on - returning,
a spinning wheel unraveling this heart guarding so much.
Knowing eyes peer through my camouflage of living,
somewhere in distant melody your heart calls sweet for me.
Blind, I run on through the fog of pain, remorse and healing,
waiting for song to capture me and set my lost heart free.
I remember you. Your face visits my sleeping
and calls me to a time forgotten, vanished as spring snow.
I remember you, though clothed in memories' weeping,
your symphony of yesterday will never let me go.
