Distant Sea's
by Herb Burd
copyright 08-27-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Difference's come, difference's go
sometime they come so close together
Sometime's they drift so far apart
Like sailor's out at sea fighting stormy weather
Finally getting lost and winding up on different shores
They don't know if they will ever come together again
They just have hard luck message's cast into bottle's they'll send
For they've gone to far out in distant sea's.

Some travel within the sea of deception
Some travel with no sense of direction
Some just drown and become lost forever
No one ever said that it would be easy
traveling through stormy weather
No gambler's hidden ace or a gypsy's
tale to foretell our destiny
So here we are, you and me, at distant sea's.

Out in the distance I'm not sure if there's a lighthouse in sight
There are pages in this map that we cannot change
I'll meet the waves of change head on
Like any good Captain I'll tie myself to the helm
I'll let the crashing waves roll over me
All the record books will ever say
another ship was lost out in distant sea's.

Some travel within the sea of deception
Some travel with no sense of direction
Some just drown and become lost forever
No one ever said that it would be easy
traveling through stormy weather
No gambler's hidden ace or a gypsy's
tale to foretell our destiny
So here we are, you and me, at distant sea's.

Some travel within the sea of deception
Some travel with no sense of direction ... Too bad there's not a "Love Compass" so we'd not get so dang lost, eh? *grin*
