I have a Dream
I have a dream
A great dream
A vision, really
Shared with a great man
A man of great faith
A man of great conviction
Quite possibly a prophet
A man called by God
Called to call His children
To a revolutionary world
Where we are colorblind
In the daily grind
In our jobs, our homes
In our schools, our churches
In our hospitals, our buses
In everywhere that we live
I dream, as I believe he did
That we would see deeper
Past the simple surface skin
Into the heart of the matter
Where things actually matter
That our eyes would see
Strong, moral characters
Ethical men and women
And souls all in need
Of a shared redemption
A singular savior
And his uncommonly
Communal sacrifice
I dream of a world
Where hating a person
Is simply unacceptable
Where children learn
Instead, to love others
Where hands out stretched
Are meant in kindness
In friendship and unity
In recognition of the truth
That, but for God’s grace
I could be the one in need
And not the one with plenty
Where gifts are given
And likewise received again
Not out of guilt or shame
But out of love and gratitude
I dream of a radical world
Full of forgiveness and love
Not anger, malice or hatred
I dream of an amazing world
In which we do see color
But it is only in admiration
It is to recognize the beauty
The infinite wonder of creation
The endless pallet with which
God has chosen to paint
Our singular human race
I have a dream
Dream with me

Wow, beautiful. It flowed nicely, and it had a good idea. I completely agree, people should look beyond the skin, and people should care, instead of showing hatred. People should get together and care, and stop the wars.
I loved how in the end you said:
"The endless pallet with which
God has chosen to paint
Our singular human race
I have a dream
Dream with me"
