A Crush
by Regina S.
copyright 03-21-2004

Age Rating: 7 to 127

One short moment
One innocent glance
Two hearts meet
And take the chance

One hundred daydreams
Sleepless nights
A thousand "what if’s"
High school frights

One brave heart
Stands up to fear
Takes the first step
And two grow dear

Two lips touch
Two hearts grow wings
Two minds open
To what love brings

One more moment
Two disagree
Two joined hearts
Split into three

Two more eyes meet
And two hearts blush
Plus one heart broken
Due to ‘a crush.’

I like this poem, Regina. The flow is nice and the description of a high school crush is true. Nice work!

WOW!!! This poem is such an awesome poem I really enjoyed it. My fav. part is the third paragraph. It is so sad though that at the end that they broke up because of a new crush. I really hate when that happens. I just don't really understand why people would do that.
