Where I come from is cxalled this and is on the Tyne in the North of England. We have our own dizalect which is what this is written in.

I am a Geordie and I live in Geordieland
If ye divvent unnerstan is
Yor not from Geordieland.
The land of the Prince Bishops
The Tyne an aall its bridges
The buildin place of greet ships
Where braces haad yor britches.
Where pitmen fly their pigeons
Gan rabbitan with lurchers
Wor lass makes stotties in the kitchen
Play pitch an toss on Sundays.
Drink broon ale from Newcassell
Which is what we caall the canny toon
An when ye've had enough to drink
There's times when ye faall doon.
I'm glad I come from Gateshead
It's on the River Tyne
And this is hyem to aall of us
A plycce that I knaa is mine.

There's times when ye faall doon... I'm fallen "doon" in laughter! I tried to read this as it was meant to be heard, and it cracks me up. I love learning more about other parts of the world and although I tried my hand at this type of thing (NO WAY AT JOSE's IN A HUNDRED WORDS - MORE OR LESS)... I didn't quite do it as well as ye! Kudos!

Doreen, the language enthralls the heart and falls from the lips in rich melodies. Sheer beauty.

Hi Doreen,
This is just so wonderful in content and language!! Colorful and expressive, gives the reader a look at another part of the world, and the people there. Your rhyme was very good, it reads smoothly, and held my interest until the last word. Wonderful writing.
(And if there's any spelling errors, we'll never know!! LOL)
