Daydream*
by Anne W. (Age: 17)
copyright 06-20-2004

Age Rating: 4 to 127

... A little Daydream...
That takes her away
Pulls her up to the sky
Those slow, drifty days

A quiet young dreamer
Mind In the clouds
Ignoring the heavy drone
Of busy, rushing crowds

Yes, she’s a dreamer
That crazy little girl
Yes, she’s a dreamer
Her wild mind set a-whirl

It is those dreamers
With their faces aglow
Who find true success
Who get up and go

We can all learn something
From the dreamers far and near
We can learn to dream,
To work and persevere

So take a chance
Dream a crazy dream
Take a step away,
Break from the stream

Hi Anne,
A very enjoyable poem! Well written, your rhyme is flawless, and great word choices, which give the reader that "dreamy" feeling.

Spell check:"With there faces aglow..."--> their,
and 'aglow' (one word)
Good job!!
