When I’m sick
Or when I’m sad,
He’s always there
To make me glad.
When I’m scared,
Or when I’m mad,
He makes me feel,
Not so bad.
He lays on my bed,
In a little ball,
He comes right away,
Whenever I call.
He runs to greet me,
When I walk through the door,
I pet him when I cry,
And I cry no more.
When I say hi,
He says ‘mow’.
He’s black and white,
Like an old milk cow.
He loves his catnip,
It’s his favorite toy.
Oh did I mention?
He’s a boy.
He’s rather lazy,
And quite a bit fat.
He plays dress up,
And tries on hats.
He likes to eat all that he can,
And he acts very cool,
Like he’s the man.
So he’s just a cat,
What’s the matter with that?
He’s my pet,
And a good one at that!
