Losing It
by Anne W. (Age: 16)
copyright 05-08-2004

Age Rating: 4 to 127

This problem is growing,
Gnawing at my side
I need it to stop
But I will not abide

Things must change
If they don't I'll break
I'm so lost now
What next move do I make?

I'm running in circles,
Needing this search to end.
But how will I solve it
To cross the next bend?

I sit in my vacant room,
Gazing quietly all around.
A single thought comes to mind
One not quite profound:

This is my life.
It's all I've got now
But I can recover
Jesus Christ will show me how.

Anne, I enjoyed the poem. It is very inspiring, and encourages one to have faith, even if you are an agnostic or aetheist, to know things will get better.

I think it's good, but the only part that bothered me was the ending. It seems a little plain to me plus, I'm agnostic, so, I'm not much of a Jesus person. Good job though.

Oh Anne, I love this. This is excellent. I felt my heart sinking but the last line brought it up.

Wow!!! I loved it so much especially the last line. Jesus Christ will show me how. The poem was making me cry a little bit till I read the last line which put a smile on my face. This is one of your best poems yet also one of my favorites. I can not wait till I read the next poem. Keep up the good work.
