Inkblot
by Lisa Anderson (Age: 18)
copyright 05-11-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

An inkblot is a stain.
That’s always there.
Like generations of stories,
That people will share.
An inkblot is a stain.
That’s always there.
Like a deep scar in your heart,
That you cannot share.

You’ve been hurt too many times,
For people to know.
You keep it inside.
Your feelings don’t show.
An inkblot is a stain.
That’s always there.
Nobody knows,
Nobody cares.

This is a nice little poem. I liked it, Anthony

this is an awesome poem. your words, rhythm, and rhyme are all fabulous. the only hitch is your punctuation - personally, I would take it all out, but if you don't want to do that, take out the periods after "an inkblot's a stain" because then your next line is a fragment. take out the commas in the first stanza - they break up the flow of the sentence - and take out the comma after the first line of the second stanza. email me when you are done because this is a great work of art.
