A noble condemnation of war. Sadly, though, it is a fact of life. I have written a poem, which I will post in the near future about cannon speaking about all the misery it caused and how we must struggle to rid the earth of warfare.

I couldn't agree more. I fully believe in the Bible where it says "learn war no more," where it says "thou shall not murder," where Jesus instructed his disciple to put his sword away, where it says "THIS is how you will know they are my brothers, that they have LOVE among themselves"~!!!
I believe GOD in Heaven looks down and shakes his head when priests on both sides pray for their side to win. What "father" would not tell their children, I told you not to fight. You got yourself into this...now you get yourself out of it. Especially when his children don't allow their households (schools, etc.) to openly speak to him (i.e. prayer), when they wish to take away his credit on their money (the "In God We Trust" slogan), and when they only come to him in a time of need and none other.
This poem caught my attention as I wrote a similarly named one called GOD BLESS THE WORLD, NOT JUST THE USA (at http://www.prose-n-poetry.com/display_work/1620). I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. :-)
And I'm glad you posted this. There are a lot of young, idealistic, propaganda-brain washed(and some plain hot-headed)... folks that could learn a thing or two by reading this. Like you, I am in no way AGAINST my country, just war itself.

I've never been for war, and I never will be. Writings like this strengthen my will against it. I've lost 3 of my closest cousins to war, and I miss them dearly... Great work, keep it up!

It was great. And i believe war is a stupid thing. "Fight for Peace" is as insane as {insert similie here}.
Keep writing!

....Victoria...wow....
This has left me without a doubt...breathless. Your imagery is vivid, as if you wrote this with it surrounding you. You have placed yourself into their shoes and you have portrayed this mans pain perfectly. I am sure that from beyond, the men who died with these thoughts are thanking you...someone finally wrote them down.
This was haunting. There are only a few errors. You spelled disease wrong, and in the end, when you were talking about Isabell's doll, you wrote "Fishing" instead of "finish." Just read through and check a few times for errors. Otherwise, magnificent. I'll be glad to give you more points when you fix it up some.
Forever,
Debra Rose
