"There's no reason why I am the way I am. Everything is messed up and I can't find a way to fix it.. or my pain.." Anne mummbled to herself while waiting at the bus stop, "No one likes me..".
"Hey, look, It's stupid Anneeee!" one of the girls from the bus stop laughed, "What do we have for lunch today?" she poured everything out from Anne's lunch box.
"HEY!! Stop it!" Anne pulled her lunch box away from Miranda, the girl who was bullying her. Anne bent down to pick up her lunch. One of Miranda's friends Smashed Anne's Peanut butter and jelly sandwich. A tear filled Anne's eye.
"Aw, is she going to cry?" Miranda said in a playful, harsh, sad, voice, "well, in that case, we better throw the chocolate chip cookie in the river across the road. Wait... better idea, I'LL EAT IT!" she shoved the chocolate chip cookie in her mouth. Then she pushed anne down and out of the way.
Anne gathered her belongings and headed way back in the woods, where she'd go when she was hurt, or just wanted time alone.
I don't understand.. Anne thought to herself ..It's not fair.
A week later, her closest friend died, her mother.

Anne felt like the only one. The only one who was treated with such continuous threats to her life. When she reached the age 25, she killed herself from such pressure of being lonley, and hating herself because no one had accepted her. No one should feel this way. Ever. but people DO feel this way and things like this DO happen. So next time you bully someone who may not have enough and as much as you in life...
Think about what you're doing because one thing can lead to another and you have a big effect on that persons life...

this is a great story! i cryed wile i read it :( this just shows you that girls can be very mean and harsh. when you bully someone you dont think about the out come they only think about them selves and what goes on in there life and not care that person might kill themselves one day because of you and your friends. it's so sad when people bully others just because they might not get there cloths were you do, you might be a different religion or race. people that bully others are self contius and always worry what people are going to say about them. but deep down inside i think the real loser is the one that does the bullying so please people out there dont make fun of or bully others (making fun is a form of bullying)b/c they might come back and get you (columbine)or hurt or even kill themselves.

This is an excellent story about bullying and the misery it can cause. Too often kids become bullies because they are the ones who think they can't measure up or have to prove themselves. Unfortunately they can neither see or sometimes don't care about the long term harm they do, they are only concerned with the fact that for a moment or two they felt powerful. It would be such a great thing if the schools could hold an occassional class on bullying and what it means. It would benefit both the bully and the bullied...Great story Cortney, bullying is a big problem.

Cortney,
This is a very powerful story. It shows a lot of meaning in it. It is sad, But I really think this story was awesome!

One of the most powerful things I have ever learned was that I don't have to earn love. I don't have to earn the right to be loved. That I was born, that I live, is reason enough to be loved.
It took me 27 years to learn that. When you're being bullied and mocked, when you find yourself in a situation where you think that no one loves you, that no one would miss you if you died, suicide feels like a viable option.
But you are loved. Someone in your life loves you. Someone is glad that you are a part of their life. Someone would be devestated if you died. Cling to that promise...there is someone in your life who would be as broken as you feel now if you act on the hopelessness within. Cling to that until you can reach the place where you realise what it took me 27 years to learn. You are lovable, you are loved, and you deserve to live.

Wow, great story. It is ver y astrong and powerful, like Regina said. Nobody should be treated this way you are absolutely correct. You
have to be careful the way you treat other people, because words make a huge differnce. Great story, keep writing.

Cortney, this is so powerful, it almost brought tears to my eyes. You're right, no one should ever feel this way, but people do. And sometimes a little bullying is all it takes to separate the good from the bad, the selfless from the selfish. The bullies will never know what it's like to feel true pain, true love. But the bullied will, if they can keep the faith, and find someone who knows what they're going though. Some of the worlds greatest heroes have been bullied and oppressed, and yet we look up to them now. This is a wonderful story, and a great reminder to anyone who feels the world revolves around them. :) Thanks for posting it. You should really feature it, more ppl have to read this!
