HTML for Beginners
The Basic Code
by Buddy Ales (Age: 18)
copyright 06-06-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

The basic HTML code goes something like this:

<html>
<head>
<title> </title>
</head>
<body>

</body>
</html>

That is the basic body code. Below you find that I explain each tag and what it does.

<html> -- Starts the whole document

<head> -- Used to contain META and CSS tags within

<title> -- See "HTML for Beginners The Basic Code by Buddy A." up at the top? Will do that

</title> -- Closes the previous tag

</head> -- Closes the head tag

<body> -- Starts what will appear within the window, thats how PnP is displayed!

</body> -- Closes the previous tag

</html> -- Closes your HTML Document

Buddy,
More good information. I will have to print this out and keep it near my laptop.

Thanks for reminding me to inform them, Victoria! Some times I get so tangled in this stuff that I forget this work is a tutorial. I added in an explaination, I hope it describes descently? Can't wait until I do one on Javascript or CSS ;-) That will be REALLY fun.

Good start. Looking forward to seeing more.

I've also been using HTML for many years. I think it would be beneficial if you explain what tags are before you give them this code. People don't understand what this stuff means until you explain it to them.
