Le Pains au Chocolat (French Chocolate Dessert) now with variation!!!
by Lisa Anderson (Age: 18)
copyright 06-07-2004

Age Rating: 1 to 127

Ingrediants:
One bag of semisweet chocolate chips.
One can of pilsbury crescent rolls (croissants)

Utensils:
Baking Pan
Pam (cooking spray)

Note:
This is a little recipe I made for French class when we had a 'French cafe'. What you will end up getting is a chocolate centered piece of bread (croissant). It is really yummy!

Make:
Unroll each croissant. Place about five or six chocolate chips in the center of each roll. Then Roll up each croissant. Use the baking instructions on the package of your croissants to bake. Usually, it will make about 6-8 le pains au chocolat (depending on the size of the package you get). Serve warm for best results.

VARIATION:
ADD 'ANDES MINT BAKING CHIPS' FOR DOUBLE THE FLAVOR! SPRINKLE SALT OVER TOP WHEN FINISHED FOR A DELICOUS GARNISH THAT BALANCES THE TASTE!

^^I made a new recipe when I made these again this year. I find my second recipe tastes better, but if you like plainstick with the first.

this sounds really good to make for valentines day too for your sweetheart or maybe a class snack for the holidays. I love it. I'm keeping this one for later!

This recipe is so well said. It looks like a normal recipe on the back of a package. I might make these for French class...
