May Be...We
by Misty Montier
copyright 03-28-2008

Age Rating: 18 to 127

May be
you and me
could be...

on a natural high,
life loving, living
exchanging, giving
freely, no great expectations
only warm embraces
touching, going places
without reservations.

may be we
could...

explore, soar
to heights new, not old
sold on what could be
lovely you are, far
from comme ce comme ca
lay, stay on board
ward, put it on me
the way you set ship
zip zip...

may be we
could just...

hang, be chill
feast on the thrill
of a lazy afternoon
loungin' in fruit-of-the-loons
doin' much of nothin'
'cept munchin' nibblin'
lovin' til the sun falls
from the sky
my my my.

or may be we
could just...

BE...
nothin more nothing less
no added stress
oui oui?

I sense a wistful longing in this piece, bordering on the banter-some, but with an underlying current of deep intensity. The word choice and their placement allow me to enjoy the "image absent" stanzas. Except for the one, perhaps deliberately turned, "fruit-of the-loons"?

The age, apparently, your choice. ^^

An interesting work that gains more favor with each read. ^^

Oui! :-)

I really like the part,
lovin' til the sun falls
from the sky
my my my."

It brought a smile to my face. Thank you.

Misty,
Once more another work that I utterly adore from you. Your talent is something that I just can't seem to get enough of! I can't wait to read more!

This work...I love how you combine French and English...it reminds me of Sophie B Hawkins, especially the flow. The way the words seem to slip together, forming first one trail of thought then changing paths completely. A roller coaster ride of thoughts and hopes that fits most marvelously together. I especially like the one about "hang, be chill."

Great job!

Forever,
Debra Rose

(PS, once more, age rating. This could be seen by much lower than jsut 18. It's your own judgement. I think sixteen, at the most. If you want a more expert opinion, email Bob. He'll tell you what would be best, seeing as he is the owner and everything.)
