It is the wonder of what we see, that allows us to grow. No thought or desire is without merit as base for development. A child offers the perfect conversation, love. When two or more are present, it is called mishcief. Great poem and better insight. Walt
I love children. They are so funny and wise. Wise? Yes, wise! You learn the darndest things from kids!
As for the third couplet, it stopped me in my tracks cuz children (even young ones) DO have something to offer, and very much! The love, the happiness.... nothing compares to that. :-)
I'm also curious why it's rated for 16 years and older. I think it's age appropriate for ANY age. Just a thought. I know some little ones that would get a kick out of reading it. They can't see it if it's not within their age group, right? :-)
This has some great possibilities. With a little tweeking, it'll be great! Thank you for sharing.
Another witty little poem. In the third couplet 'greef' should be spelled 'grief', but I'm not sure if you did that on purpose. I agree with Regina, the third couplet doesn't seem particularly necessary, but it doesn't completely throw off the poem either.
Hehe, this is prety cute! :) well... kinda sick and twisted, but cute! Also, I think it might flow along better if you kill the third couplet? Just a suggestion.
