~Vista Host~
by Jeniffer Brand (Age: 38)
copyright 07-20-2004

Age Rating: 10 to 127

I was offered a new job, in my career, a long waited break.
Director of Sales for Hampton Inn - South, I just had to take!

See, the management company, they call Vista Host.
"I love my new company, my job", I just had to boast!

They gave me courage and strength, saw things in me.
Invested trips and training, a ton of money!

My bosses are wonderful, though stern and demanding,
Yet they're fun, helpful, and very understanding!

I'm stronger, I'm wiser, "I CAN move Pikes Peak"!
Give me a year, a month, or even one week!

I've learned a lot from them in this past year.
I hate to place them in "experience", listing my career.

A new company will take over, the hotel's up for sale.
Loosing my bosses, Vista Host, makes my soul want to ail.

With a smile and tears, I'm proud to say "thank you"!
Don't ever change, give up, or stop doing what you do!

To Bob, Debi, and even Mr. Harrell...
I stand, I salute you, and wish you farewell!

Yours Truly,
Jeniffer Brand
Director of Sales
Hampton Inn - South
Colorado Springs

Change is hard (thus agrees WHO MOVED MY CHEESE) but it's all for the better in the end. (Gold at the end of the rainbow?). I hope you find your happiness so well deserved, and I hope your employers appreciate the tribute. :-)

Remember the old addage,'When one door closes, another one opens.' Something new will come along for you. Loved the poem.

Such a perfect farewell present :) I'm sure your old bosses will hold it dear, and glad to have had someone so special in their staff :)

Wow, this is so sweet. ^_^ you should definitely show it to your bosses, or ex-bosses. I'm sure that some other job (that you love just as much) will come your way, and you'll learn even more things!

This is terrific. A unique way of revealing a job switch with just enough emotion and factual details to make one feel the excitement of finding a new job and the sadness of leaving the old one. I like it very much. Nice work.
