The Wee Waa Things
by Doreen Reynolds
copyright 09-06-2004

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Hae Ye nae seen the wee waa things
That creep and crawl and bite and sting
Some Se sma ye canna see
Some so big they shudna be
But all have uses great and small
I bet we've nivver seen them all.
Theres creepies come out in the night
Some jump so fast we get no sight
There's bugs that have bugs of their own
There's bugs that stay and bugs that roam
But we've all seen the WEE WAA things
That creep and crawl and bite and sting.

Just wanted you to know I've been back to this a ton of times and my youngest one has opted it in lieu of his bedtime story a night or two. :-) What can I say? He's got taste! LOL. I catch myself repeating lines from it at work as well. :-) Just wanted to come back and say thank you once more.

lol...this was really fun to read. I bet kids would like it a lot. I, too, stumbled over the three lines starting with "There's". I think because it should be "There are" as apposed to "There is". At least I think so...lol. Man, now I'm confusing myself! Someone help me..lol

LOL!!! That was so cool it was challanging to read becausee if you read to fast you would not get it. Try saying the first line 5 times fast. I was not able to. Keep up the good work

This was SO much fun to read!!!

As much as I dislike Wee Waa things, I didn't mind them so much here...and though they are never identified by translation (wee waa are insects, for example) there's never a question that these are all the creeping crawling flying nasty little bugs. Fun!

LOL... I absolutely Luv'd this! I am printing it right now so I can share it with my children when I get home. I think I'll share it with me work mates as well. ;-) This is AWESOME! Only awkward line to read really (for me) was
"Theres creepies come out in the night" but then again, that was my first read through. I'll have another read through and perhaps it will read smoother. Thanks for starting my day out with a smile. :-)
