Somehow I feel I must be a bit jaded. So many sweet words, so much sweet emotion, and such sweet comments to accompany your verse.
Me? My first thoughts fled not to a "significant other" or lost love, or desperate love... no, not my thoughts. I feel as that is just a fable, a fantasy.
While reading your work (as a mother may) I thought instead of a pregnant woman and what helps her endure birth pangs, I remember the "first" kiss and first touch of such a gentle and sweet sweet child that I was blessed with bringing into this world.
Although my faith in love is not all that strong at times, my faith in the maternal love is unyeilding!!! :-) (Just thought you'd like to know what vision your words brought to my consciousness.)
I am pleased to see someone shares the same feelings I do for their segnifigant other. Love is but a precious thing. Only we have the keys to unlock the hidden secrets and desires of them. Very nice write! I think and wish almost the same thing when I go to bed at night. It's almost like I'm in my own world where no one can touch me or harm me, and living things I cant when I'm awake. I feel that.
