Wake Up
by Chelsea Armstrong (Age: 22)
copyright 06-20-2005

Age Rating: 10 to 127

  Wake Up

They once told me I was insane
That all the things I see are just my wild imagination running rampent
At night when the sun goes down is when it all begins
The rainbows
The Enchantress
The magic
The beasts
The love
And the stories

One Night, I just never woke up

I found myself alive within my dreams
I felt power
I felt sorrow
I felt pain
I felt turmoil
I felt a need
I felt useful

People loved me in my dream
No longer did I hear the real world scream

Starting out very good, although sort of general, I would like to see lots more detail so I and the rest of your audience can temporarily live in your dreams and experience them as you do.

Please do us the honor of finishing this. It's worth it.

As always,

I'll be back,

~Rich

This poem is finished! No pun intended. Are most dreams not incomplete? You have captured what dreams are, unpredictable, unstable and sometimes maddening, but they are as real as fantasy can be. Listen to your dreams! No matter how bizarre, they mean to communicate something of importance to us and when we heed to their importance, our lives become better because of it.

Great beginning, Chelsea!
Write more, please! I am waiting...

Ooh... suspense! Reminds me of the Lambrynth (sp?). Or... a female version of Peter Pan. :-)

Can't wait to read the rest. I'll check back again.
