Path To Dawn
by Walter Jones (Age: 63)
copyright 07-27-2004

Age Rating: 4 to 127

Candle burning in the night
lights my way to the dawn
equal and sad the cry of purpose

Willing fingers ease the pain
daily life provides endless lessons
in the storm I find a correct path

Words spill forth-leaving warmth
foolish thoughts spill to drink
holding one last hope in me

Color my world in love of her
let the day find me a home safe
free of expectation not me

Sun burns the path back
feet stick to the old ground
crying to my mind again

Where does end
with a candle burning in the night
lighting my path to the dawn

I like the poem. It speaks of trust, of the essence of love in a rare form of purness, and a place where you can always hang your hat.

Seems, I feel your walking along this path...
There are many paths in our lives. But each of us has a cherished path to dawn.
A sad or happy...but always cherished path.

Thank you for so lovely gift Walt!
With love,
Ira.
